Community Relations

To provide better service to our residents, we are looking for a volunteer to provide sign language at some of our meetings and events. If you or someone you know would be interested in volunteering, please contact Village Clerk Gary Benedik at (708) 780-5251 or by e-mail.

The Village provides new residents with a Lyons Community Guide.  This information booklet will provide new residents with valuable information and answer some frequently asked questions.  This program is sponsored by the Village of Lyons and our generous businesses.  If you are a new resident stop by Village Hall or call (708) 780-5200 for information on how to receive a guide.  You can also access the guide in the Documents and Forms section of this website.

After an equipment upgrade in 2003, the Village has been able to offer better service to our viewing public, particularly through the efforts of Tamara Wisneski, Cable Coordinator. Meetings are broadcast live, as well as on following Sundays and Thursdays. If you would like to have your public announcement broadcast, follow the directions below.

Calling all community groups! Advertise your upcoming events on the LTV Comcast Channel 6 Bulletin Boards. Contact Tamara Wisneski, Cable Coordinator, directly at (708) 780-5231 or at LTV6@aol.com.  Request forms can be accessed online by clicking here.  They are also available at the Village Hall. Please remember to consult with the Village before scheduling to avoid conflicting events.
